• Received a note from Michael Proulx sharing obituary link updates for Stephen Ferry (cast) and Gerald Endler (crew) and wondering about finding links for Lop Eye Shing (Henry Wang) and Chien (Tommy Lee). If anyone knows of links or information for these actors, it would be greatly appreciated! From Michael: "I was able to find a link for Cho-jen played by Hong Kong actor Paul Chun Pui, credited in the movie as Chin Pae. Cho-jen was the militant student leader at China Light who had the dubious distinction of being killed by Steve McQueen with an axe at the river ship boom. Here’s his link. Michael also updated the link for 'Reflections on The Sand Pebbles' under Related Links on the homepage. Thanks, Michael!

• Received a note from Rich Atkinson of Crescent, Oregon that actor Joe Turkel passed away last month. I've added his full email to the messageboards, and the date of death for Mr. Turkel to the Film Facts and Trivia page. Thanks, Rich.
• Also received a note from Michael Proulx sharing a July 2008 Blu-ray review from High-Def Digest that I have included under the The Sand Pebbles Blu-ray/DVD/CD section on the homepage. From Michael: "It came out a month later that the June 2008 review and contains a particularly thorough Special Features section." Also fixed a broken link to the Cleveland Press review from 1967 under Newspapers, Magazines, Books and Reviews on the homepage. Thanks, Michael!

This year marks the 20th anniversary (1998-2018) of The Sand Pebbles website. I am grateful to all those who have contributed and to the many fans who have visited over the years. Although the bulk of my collection has been posted on this website occasional additions may occur in the future. As always I continue to monitor this site and will answer all emails I receive.
