| From 1965 through 1966, during the
filming of the Sand Pebbles,
a film crew documented the construction of the movie ship, the San
Pablo. It also chronicled the production of the motion picture. The end
result was a 14 minute featurette titled "A Ship Called San Pablo"
narrated by Richard Attenborough. My thanks to Richard Ducar (Trenton,
NJ) for his help in obtaining a copy of this video. Important note: this featurette has been
fully restored and is now included as part of the 2007 Sand Pebbles DVD
2-disc set.
